Hi all Want a PD130 or PD150 golf for my next car but I want to make sure the ones I am looking at are the PD engines so what year did they start using this engine in the MK4 golf's ?
-
I had a PD130 when they first came out. Mine was a 51 reg.
-
early 2001 for the 115 i believe then late 01 for the 130; 150 was first introduced into the Anniversarys in 02 and then later in the GT TDI's
-
am i right in saying all the 100,115,130 & 150 engines are PD's? and the 90 and 110 aren't?

is it 6 speed? whats the KW rating? you can find that in the boot in the spare wheel well
-
Pumpe Düse - pump injector
the W plate 130 could be a remapped 110

maybe it isn't, just it has the D and the I in red on the back, always thought this was the 130 bhp one.

lol
yeah for some reason VW seemed to mix up all the different colour variations of badges in a big bucket and let a blind monkey choose which went on each car....As you'd expect, he didn't do to well.
There maybe some loose pattern to it, but it's no hard and fast rule. Best way to tell is the kW rating on the label in the boot well....to be fair noone told the monkey this.
