Title: I discovered a new sound in E30

Yesterday, I turned the radio off and discovered a new sound that E30 makes.
First, there is this spooling up sound around at 1800-2200 RPM. Yesterday I discovered E30 also makes Pshhhhhh sound when I step off the gas pedal (partucularly loud when like going 50kmh in 4th gear, then stepping on the gas pedal for a second and stepping off - pshhhhhhh) and when I change gear.  :laugh: A bit like a blow-off valve there.  :smiley:  :laugh: :kiss: :laugh: :kiss: :smiley:

I don't know why I did not hear before. Now it is cold outside (-1 degrees Celcius), maybe the temperature has something to do with the sound....

Anybody heard that sound? (I have manual, of course!)

how long have u had the car?? lol, noticed that the first time i changed gear when i drove it home,

i didnt take the e30 on test drive b4 i bought :-| i did take the gti tho.

4 months I have E30, but I never heard that PSHHHH sound before.  :embarassed:

I took neither GTI or E30 on a test drive before I bought  :lipsrsealed:
I read about it, I went to see it, and that was it...  :kiss:

just loud enough to get the juices flowing without passers by thinking you've fitted an aftermarket chav one :wink:

id rather it be a tad louder but hay.. iv only done 1700 miles

Had those sounds for a while now - become increasingly pronounced as i pile on the miles.  I especially love the blips when changing gears on the DSG :evil:.  Sometimes it feels like my ears are popping!  Wonder what it will sound like with a better exhaust......

lol , dont think youre driving it hard enough with the windows down...... :evil:
Mine even does it while running in. lovely noise.
