Title: GTI or Not to GTI!!!

Hi, I recently posted that i've just purchased a 1.3 MK2 (not GTI!) its a hell of a lot cheaper on insurance  than a GTI.

What are the differences between a GTI and a non GTI looks wise?

Do GTI body parts suchas front grille swap directly onto a non GTI motor???

Front grill is a straight swap over, trust me.
Loads of other bits fit too.  :cool:

I got a white golf mk2, anybody ever seen a white grille. Maybe with black gti lines or something? Very interested in how this may look.

Hmmm, never seen one but you could always ask someone if they would kindly photoshop one first to see how it would look.

Now that is the question isn't it! I quite like quad lights but at the moment mine only has dual? Could you do it with quad lights and is it simple to add the extra lights?

you need a new grill to add the extra lights and im not sure if the extra wires are there. photoshops being ghay atm so will do it tomorrow sorry :sad:

I have a spare gti grill in my garage which I considered spraying white for my white 1.8 Driver.. I don't know what it'd look like though..

I'll have a quick shot at photoshopping now.


Also, the extra spotlights have a block connecter which just plugs straight into a female connector coming from the main headlamps. Simple as that! Connect to the extra wires and fit :)

instead of making ur 1.3 look like a gti..go for some cool old skool small bumpers with 16v splitter...drop it on its arse...with no arch trims...and some old skool deep dish wheels...ubber cool mk2 to run about in :cool:
