Finally took some proper pictures with a proper camera instead of using my phone.
I did clean the car in the morning but it did get slightly dirty :embarassed:
First picture was taken when it just had been cleaned
weather wasnt brilliant at all today and was very windy so couldnt spend to long cleaning it
What i've had done externally since i got it:
1. R32 tail gates
2. Colour-coded all bumpers
3. 18" Monza reps
4. GTI number plates

Sweeehhheeet!!!!!!
GTI number plates
Now you just need GTI dust caps (I've got those on mine. THese were the first bit of tuning I've done right on the dealers floor when I got the keys to the GTI  )
Silver Monzas on black car - there is no better choice!
-
GTI YP...
"GTI?" "Yep!"

Thanks Man
Loving the Eagle F1's. They really do make a change from my noisey Falkens and Dunlops. Great grip aswell
night time pics to follow

Very nice.
Just don't forget to give your pipes a clean
-
It looks great with the colour coded bumpers.
Nice and quiet at the tees barrage when you took those shots.
Excuse the ignorance, but what difference does the r32 taiolgate make?
-
nice mate.
do u use a sponge or mit?

the R32 tailgates are smoked and darker than the original GTi's. The originals are just the standard lights that they have on all they golf range and are a little to red for my liking.
Aye, the barage is a quiet place

wash mit

simple gorgeous  well done
only things you missed were the exhaust tips and painting the rusty brake hubs

One of the lads i kind of know has a tyre place so he did all 4 for £380 with balancing and installation. I think they are £110 retail so i saved £60

Very nice...honestly cant see the difference between the reps and originals but then aswell there are no pics to compare with! But some good photos and reminds me of my car..maybe some black number plates
-
WOW...
Shockingly superb and reminds me how good black looks when polished... sorry but Candy White (which does look  and every other colour) just doesn't have that same effect. I am normally very conscientious about waxing and cleaning my cars thoroughly at least once a month but haven't had time for a while. In fact, my Ed30 looks more a dark shade of brown/dirty black as I haven't washed it since I bought it apart from a couple of quick jet sprays (no brush) at the local jet-wash :embarassed:

Heathen!!
May I draw your attention to the Holy VW Bible.
Thou shalt wash thine GTI every Sabbath.......and forsooth, thine earthly shalt body be flailed by a thousand chav chains if thou'st fail in this homage.

hummm, those monza reps look the dogs bo!!ocks!! might have to invest in some of those!!!

I know :embarassed: :embarassed: :embarassed:
I think I'm a victim of my own perfectionism... it normally takes me half a day to wash and wax the car as I go over it so thoroughly and I tend to do my wife's Lupo GTI at the same time = a whole day... but lately I've been so busy that I haven't had that much time to spare. Plus I've got stonechip protection on the full bonnet, front and wings so they'ill never need washing and waxing

loving the night time shots Max, well done
Are you busy this weekend as my ED30 needs a clean
-
Thats a very pretty car. I love the smoked tails. And those rims look very similar to the originals.
Nice night shots too.

hehe i dont even consider the car washed in those shots. Normally i wash, then polish and then wax but as the weather has turned sour i dont think it will be getting cleaned now until the sun shines again

I really like the dark tails im thinking of getting some, were they easy to fit?
Also where did you get your GTI number plate? I notice mine is "stuck" on (ie not screwed) how easy are they to swap over?
-
WOW !
Stunning, the R32 rear looks fantasticly good on the GTi.
Great job.
-
 Fantastic mate & the reps really set it off.

Sorry for the late reply. Forgot about this thread
The local garage fitted the R32 tails for £40. They did a good job. Took them around an hour.
The number plates i got done at a local signs specialist who designs and makes signs for shops and stuff.
I basically designed it and passed it over to him to put on number plates. They are on a honey comb background which is only visible at night when light is reflected on it. Looks really good and sets the car off.
Cost me £35
Yes, my plates are also stuck on and thats how they have always been. I like them like that. I use professional double-sided pads (which can be had from Halfords or similiar outlets) to stick them on. They are easy to swap over but require some force. You need to slowly pull at the corners of the plates so that they come away from the panels.

GTI tail gates are lighter red, am I right?
What about E30 tail gates, are they darker than those on GTI, are R32 ones darker than E30 ones?
-
The ED30 tail lights are the same part as off the R32 I believe.

already answered, ignore - sorry :lipsrsealed:
