Dont know if this helps but my mate bought a front & rear black badge for his mk5 golf and they both would not fit .

....The Mk5 stock VW front grill 'chromed' badge is 1T0 853 601. None of those numbers refer to dimensions.

SteveS - A black VW badge would look great on a Steel Grey. Also the early Mk GTI's had black badges so it's kinda 'traditional'. Carbonfibre ones are expensive though and also look better with a carbon nosepiece in my opinion.

I like the CF one, but I like the chrome standard one too and it suits the silver of my car :cool:

i just feel it stands out to much, if i could get rid all together i would. but theres not easy way of doing that and then id have to fill the round bit..
