Not sure if this has worked!!! really cr*p with IT stuff like this :embarassed:

Hope you can see pics of my new car, brand new with all the kit

Now run in with 2k miles on the clock and starting to shift!!! Love the colour, car is well dirty although doesn't show the dirt with it being steel grey  promise I'll clean her soon

The insert colour on the monzas goes really well with my car

Not to everyones taste but hey, I like them!

Lovely car

Did you specify the MonzaII's or have you got the Pescara's stashed away somewhere :undecided:

Nice car.

I personally think Monzas are much better looking than Pescaros, they've got more balls!    Even my 17" ones.

I actually think the Pescara's looks 'right' on an Ed30.  Also, they perfectly match steel grey.

Aknowledged.

I guess I've always been a fan of think spoked rims.

Do monzas not perfectly match the steel grey?? They compliment black well.

I specified the monza11's over the perscara's, not stashed away I'm afraid,.....

Really not a fan of perscara's hence the choise, however each to their own!!!

Now all I have to do is get the sub 10mph issue sorted and it'll be perfect

Didn't know you could specify the Monza II's over Pescaras for the Ed30?  Was that from a VW Main Dealer?  Also did it cost extra or less or the same?  The black ones look  on candy white.

Friend of mine is an importer of Mercs, Porsche and high end Audi's, he managed to secure a deal on a cancelled order and liased with Germany to have the wheels swapped, well pleased and managed to get a cracking deal!!!

they look especially nice in the evening in the lights of street lights, they reflect the light very nicely and look fantastic (will try to get a picture sometime, if I do not forget)

Lovely. I tend to feel that the Monza's dont go with the ED30 but your car seems to pull it off.
Very nice

Lovely mate, definetly the best colour for hiding the dirt.  I just cleaned mine this morning, when I looked out the window it didn't look to bad but when you start washing it you really notice how dirty it is!

Originally I specced a gti including the monzas - it was a no brainer really.

When I went to the showroom to look at one, I saw an edition 30 with the wheels which in the press picture looked so hideous... they looked fab in real life. (though not so easy to clean as the monzas)

It was the wheels which made me able to justify the edition 30's extra expense, since you get the 18 inch rims 'for free'  on the edition 30 rather than paying extra.

Either is a better option than the 17" wheels which just let the car down in my opinion...but that was the point I presume... VW aren't stupid - they know we'd want to change them!

You saying that the Monzas don't go with GTI. lets not forget that ED30 is the same car as std GTI. I still think the pescaros are not as nice. I saw them at the dealer today, and yes they look better in real life but still Monza IIs kick @ss.

on the same not, I second your thought that 17" Monzas can pull it off. Look smart and less unnecessary than the 18".

This is one thing that has really annoyed me on this forum. An E30 is a GTI !!!!!
Yes it has a few more fancy trims and finishes and 30BHP more but it is still a GTI, hence the GTI badge on the rear.

I think alot of people here think of it as a different car (where as its a gti underneath).....certainly with alot of the comments floating around.

Personally i like the monza's better than the pescaros

I don't recall anyone saying that the ED30 isn't a GTI :undecided:....that's why I bought it . The added attraction was that it has the extra's. It was a test drive in a standard GTI that initially turned me on to the idea in the first place for me

Guys you misunderstood me. I know the Ed30 is still a GTI.
What I meant is that I dont feel the Monza's go so well with the Ed30 bodykit. I cant explain. Its just a feeling I get.

Its probably because I have seen an Ed30 with Pescaras and whenever someone says it a Ed30 with Monza's its like..... Out of place if you know what I mean. My mother has 18" Monza Rims. I love them to bits but I dont think they look nice on the Ed30.

My opinion

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder at the end of the day. Respect.

Still, std GTI with Monzas I/II...as the guy above intended.
ED30 Pescaros vs Monzas...each to their own.
