Title: GTI ED30 on it's way!

Really can't wait to get it and reading some of the other threads that seems to be a popular opinion. I've never owned a Golf before let alone a GTI - although I did have a 1970 VW bay window many years ago, sold it for 'nicks' and it's still going!

Looks a great forum.

Front Centre Armrest
Cruise Control
The 'love it or hate it colour' Candy White

I'm also having a Parrot kit fitted where the ashtray usually is. Incidentally, do you know anybody who's had one fitted and where did they put the 'remote' switch for answering calls etc?

I didn't fancy the DSG, I know everybody seems to rave about it but I just prefer more 'manual' cars.
I didn't go for the Xenons as I've had them on previous cars and whilst they are good I didn't miss them when I didn't have them.

At this rate, there will be just enough white ones for everyone to see one at least once in a year and realise for themselves that it is *the* colour, but not enough for their second hand price to fall by very much!

(Just kidding... we all think we chose the right colour, obviously... well fingers crossed I did!)

Post by: JimboED30 on 24 November 2007, 12:17: I went for white as I seem to remember some years ago I had a white car - I'd rather not say what it was on this forum, but let's just say it was French, turbocharged and not very reliable and it didn't show up dirt as much as the black cars I've owned since!

I think the Golf is one of the cars that can carry off white - and the pictures truly show it!
