Title: 8v with a funny squeeky type of noise

H guys,

I recently bought a 8v 1997 Gti, it has a weird soud when coasting or driving at low speed, it seems like i have little ducklings inside somewhere under the bonnet yapping away? its not relate to the breaks? it seems to be fine at speeds over 40mph and when its warm it tends to be less noticeable. I know its a long shot, but any ideas? it recently passed MOT (a week ago) and all was fine.

Have you checked the fan belt? These sometimes can cause a very annoying squeak, might be worth checking/changing as they are only cheap!
