oi !! and whats wrong with having a passat!!!! lol, know where your coming from simonet, have had my passat sport for less then 36 hours
, and are absolutley loving it, cant get over the mid range torque the car has compared to the old GTi. Simonet, seriously look at the passat sport DSG 17O.looks great,ok doesnt really go round bends as fast but straight line grunt is simular.350Nm of torgue on tap certainly makes it fly along sweetly. gets close to the performance of the GTi that will suit the family too.Remember the days when 40MPG round town where unheard of!!.Well i had a trip today to ikea (brent Park) to london and back to Southampton today avearge speed 70mph and got 52.5 mpg!!!
Will post pics soon as weather improves.

Is the Passat really that nice? Hmmm I prefer the looks of the Audi but you make the Passat sound really powerful

I really need seven seats (been here before just before I bought the golf) but now I really do need them. My options are

1)Touran 140 / 170 SE or Sport (not sure about DSG at the mo)
2) Landrover Discovery 3

I have a massive urge to get the Landrover as the Touran is just a little boring......

Yes, but you wouldn't be hated by everyone for driving a Touran

Hey i've got a Disco 3 and it is a great car!

You just get in press the accelerator and chill out to your desitination.

For us family guys the boot is bigger than a small semi and the rear seats handle six footers with ease!!

4x4 SUV's are sad imo. why bother, if you want somthing big get an audi rs4 estate or vw estate. when would you actually go off road and use it, we used to have a cayenne turbo and it went of road once in a year, so we got rid, there is no need. far better cars out there that an SUV, imo of course

Think you've missed the point..... I need seven seats!!

If I needed 5 I'd keep the golf, but 7 limits me to MPV or SUV or proper 4x4.... no contest really, apart from the costs, that's the only reason I'm considering the Touran. Hope I hate the Landrover when I test drive, it'll save me a small fortune and probably be able to swap the ED30 for a high spec if not brand new VW Touran!

Kind of thinking I'll swap the A2 though if I go for the Touran, that way I get to keep the golf!
