Hi all
have yet another problem with my beast,i drive along and have a knocking coming from under the bonnet. If i press the clutch down it stops, also it only happens sometimes though.Anyhelp would be good.
-
Sounds like it it could be the pressure release bearing
is it a tapping knocking sound ?
-
yes tapping gets quicker the faster you go,and if you go around a corner it fills like the wheel is going to fall of.Any more help anyone
-
Driveshaft maybe if it gets worst with speed
-
where is best place to get one if it is that?
-
cv joint or driveshaft sounds most possible but check the suspension arm bushes as these wear and can knock and they also let the wheel/s self steer (hence funny feeling on corners!!)..dont know if that would stop with the clutch depressed but still worth a check
-
thanks for that guys i will look into it.

Hi guys where can i get the n/s inner part of the drive shaft that bolts on to the gear box. This is my problem or do i have to buy the hole drive shaft.price?
-
Have a look at the gearbox mount, is there any goo coming out of the top of it?
-
just had a look and if that is the one on top of the sub frame by the steering rack it is bone dry.I think it is the inner cv joint because if you pull and twist it it will click.

For people that are intreasted it was the inner cv joint that was clicking, new one fitted from gsf auto parts 50 notes. Thanks for help guys
