Title: 4 to 5 stud changeover
Post by: RedorDead on 11 November 2007, 16:16
Hi folks
Can anyone help me? I've a 1990 GTD, and  I've got a set of VR6 BBS alloys I want to fit, so I need to change from 4 to 5 stud .
What options do I have to make the change?
All replies greatly appreciated, as I'm still a novice regarding this.

Cheers

or change your hubs, because youll prob have to run 20mm conv spacers and theyll prob stick out too much then!!!

Thanks for the replies guys.
I wanted to go the second route if possible, and upgrade my brakes at the same time, and tried it with a set of VR6 brakes, hubs and carriers that I managed to acquire. Unfortunately the hubs don't fit with my diesel driveshafts. Am thinking of trying to get hubs off of a Passat or Golf Mk3 diesel and adapt these.
Has anyone tried this, or has any ideas on this? Appreciate any replies
Cheers

hi

fit vr6 cv s to your diesel driveshafts its the only way as 4 stud mk2 shafts are thinner at the hub end & have fewer spline euro car parts do complete cv kit for 30 quid ish a piece with teh boot & greese

direct fit to your shafts once you remove your cv joint

its what we do with the vr6 conversions
