Title: boge turbo
Post by: vw-bob on 09 November 2007, 22:26
ive heard a few of you mention boge turbo shocks on here and have said good words about them. i have sourced a set of 50mm lowering springs and shocks, but i dont know whether or not they will fit straight on. apparently there is a difference in the setup from early to late mk2's.

the rears have boge turbo shocks already, but the fronts have either lost the sicker or are un-branded.  if the shocks arent compatible then i will take the springs off and get shocks that will fit.

i have google'd "boge turbo" and "boge turbo shocks" but have found no major (or what i wpuld call a major) sites that sell these.

can anyone point me in the right direction for the shocks and if my thinking is right

i might give them a ring tomorrow. we get regular deliveries off them at work, which is handy

They are made by Sachs i think.

I got some off GSF a couple of weeks ago, I had to ring though as i couldn't find the right ones on the website.

I think they're the "best quality gas shocks" on the gsf site, about 25 quid + vat if i remember rightly.

the only difference in early/late mk2 suspension setups will be if the front struts are a complete unit or if the shock insert is seperately replacible.  If you get the complete strut type it will fit any MK2 regardless of age :)
