Hello everyone,
My name's Moos3h (or James) and I've just bought my first GTi, an R Reg 2.0 8v which I love. It was a toss up between 16v and 8v and I went the unusual route of going for slightly less power, plenty for me but cheaper to insure!
I need to give the car a wash, but I'll get some pics up - nothing special, it's a bog standard Mk3, but I intend to keep it that way as a shining example of what good cars they are stock!
I've had some fast motors in my time (ha, I'm only 26!), including an ex police Omega 3.0 v6, Rover 620ti, 827 and a Vectra SRi (less said the better), but this is by FAR the most fun - the power is just where you want it!
Cheers
James

Welcome mate!
I bet that 3.0 V6 was fun, just a shame it was in an Omega really lol.

I loved it. Rear wheel drive, super chipped (by the plod) and 288bhp at the rear wheels.
:D
Cheers,
James
