Title: Mk2 boot flush
Post by: dubsport on 07 November 2007, 17:59
Hey,

I have rang around a few body shops and asked how much it would roughly cost to flush the boot on my car ... none of them would give me a quote ... they said id need to come in so they could have a look.

Could any one give me a rough price on how much it would cost? (i appreciate prices will differ)

want to end up with something like this (would have a red GTI spoiler also  ) ...

Take it to the bodyshop, and get a quote in person.

But I wouldn't bother doing it at all, as in my opinion it looks sh!t.

To do the job right, I reckon on 13hrs work on the tailgate, @ £25 per hour... Thats £325 labour, and £80 paint and materials plus VAT thats for a proper job, no corners cut, and relocating No plate, lights, wiring etc.. would cost extra
I wouldnt bother! looks very 10 years ago!

That works, but bin the wiper for the really smooth look.

I agree with Lewy on both counts.. Smooth looks shocking.. But colour coded plinth and no wiper would look ace..

My mate has his smooth, but with the VOLKSWAGEN embossed part from a caddy in place of the nummer plate recess.. looks mint as f**k TBH
