Title: back on the road at last!

 :grin: Finally got the old girl back on the road!  It was looking grim for a while!  Got an engine sent up (dx) but it was the earlier one from a mk1 & it was f**ked (long story) but luckily found a nice engine in a scirroco (110k) & it fits nicely!  All i needed for my MOT was new rear discs & pads, brake hose, exhaust rubber & a bulb! Not bad for a 23 year old car!  Still got my speedo to hook up & a few general bits off tidying up, but i'm well happy to be back in my Golf!  Life's just got better!!!! hahahahahaha  :grin:

Good news mate! still trying to get the time to get my valvers brake lines done - been off the road 20 months! how long where you without yours?

only 2 months, but it seemed like a lifetime!

I've still got a few things to sort like getting my speedo to work & sorting out my misfire, but its much better than thinking about breaking or scrapping (which everyone kept telling me to do!).
