Does anyone know how you remove the plastic panel on the inside of the tailgate, I have got something inside mine rattling about
-
Anyone?
-
had something in there rattling about as well....except this was on the day I picked it up...needless to say I turned right round and took it back...they embarrassingly took it in the workshop and sorted it..out of sight unfortunately...
-
Give me ten minutes. I may have something for you. @ Bustwell
-
Sorry. i ran a few searches etc on other forums. It seems nobody has tried to take that panel off... When you open the boot does it rattle? Or only when you drive?
-
It rattles when you open it too, there is definetly something in there
-
Oh... Then there aint much I can do to help. Take it to the stealer and insist theu solve it. Probably a lose screw or something.
-
So, you can hear this over the din from the dash rattle, and the vibration from the speaker cards, and the squirming of the front door seals ? And even over the 'clank' from the underside that occurs (just the once) at 75ish ?
-
Somebody else whos car gets a clank underneath at about 75. Any idea what it is? Mine only seems to do it when you lift off slightly at that speed. I have thought that it could be un-burnt fuel getting into the exhaust. Don't know if this is possible though.
-
If its a clank, and happens when you lift, it'll be the exhaust hitting the car as the engine moves, or a dodgy mount moving around when the load is lifted.
-
No, don't have to lift.
Does it at about 75-80, regular as clockwork.

Don't have any of those other rattles, I only hear it sometimes when driving and hear it when opening and closing the tailgate. Sounds like its a small nut or something has dropped down, will be going to the dealers soon anyway
