My fob broke For my Quantum alarm so found a new one on the bay. Just wondering if anyone knows how to set these up to work with the actuall alarm.
-
Anyone?
-
Not really sure but.....
Do you "tune it" by turning the small screw through a hole that is masked by a sticker? I mean keep turning it by an 1/8th or so and press the fob until your alarm activates / deactivates. :undecided:

Good suggestion,i wondered why there was a hole in it covered by a sticker. Will give that a go tommoro. Cheers for the idea
-
Good luck. Thats how mine works and it is a vw/quantum alarm. I just cant be sure all vw alarms and fobs work the same. On more secure set-ups the fob and alarm are matched

Cheers Simon

Have you guys got a toggle switch inside the car to turn the alarm on and off as well?
-
No, why have you? Don't know why you would have one really as anyone would be able to turn the alarm off wouldn't they if they got into your car?
-
yep, stupid idea. also means if im squeezing into the car in a carpark with bags etc you cant get in without the alarm going off! cant believe vag would do that!
-
Never heard of that. Sounds like a right pain in the aris!
-
by quantum alarm do you mean the original one? with the vag alarm in the engine bay?
-
Not sure but i think it must be the origonal one.
I do have some paperwork about it i think if you need to know anything about them i can have a look.
-
strange mines done on a switch, i must have the 'budget' alarm option
does the paperwork tell you how to make it work on the keyfob :nerd:
-
Unfortunately no. :undecided:
