Title: LHD parts fit RHD cars?

I've got a mate who's breaking a LHD Mk1 Gti and there are a few bits I want.  Can anyone tell me if a LHD 4 branch manifold and downpipes will fit my Mk1 RHD Gti?

It should do, predominantly its only the steering rack and the dash which is different. Thats why Mk1's have sh!te breaks, the master cylinder is not moved on a RHD car, so the fluid has further to travel to the pedals, and this results in poor efficiency  - apparently.

it probably wont, most likely you'll find that the downpipe will hit the steering column!

Everything else is in the same place as MK2kezza says, so check the position of your steering column, then look at where the downpipe is on your mates MK1 :)
