Hi,
Can someone tell me what this is please? looks as tho its connected to the radiator?

The reason i ask is that it wasnt pushed right on so i dont think its been connected since i bought the car (over a year ago :embarassed:) could this be why she over heats so quickly and uses so much water? :undecided:
Also this is broken ... whats it for?

thanks :)

When that is pushed in it engages the flux capacitor, remember not to go over 88mph with it pushed in.
No idea what the 2nd pic is, sorry.

The second thing is an earth strap for the bonnet. I was recently informed this was for helping stop radio interfernece.

Leave the sensor plugged in, it's there for a reason!

ok il leave it pushed down ... why would the previous owner take it off?
-
It could be faulty. I don't know what it does though. Does your fan kick in?

Sorry, I was just taking the piss.
A flux capacitor is what they use in Back to the Future to travel through time, that might be why he didn't have it pushed in :D

The second picture is the bondage strap it helps to maintain the intergrety of the flux capacitor!

It's a temperature sender, and the other is an earth strap.

oh, you went and spoiled it by being all serious and telling the truth.
-
i hate you all :embarassed:
thanks Lewy

lol.
What with this forum and Flux Capacitator thingies?

1st pic is a temp sender as said. The red & grey temp senders on a carb car are for the inlet manifold pre-heater & autochoke heater. Neither will have any effect on the car overheating.
