Title: OE for my MKII
Post by: DarnPB on 01 November 2007, 11:45
Does anyone know where I can buy original equipment for my G60 other than main dealerships and GPC? Sorry but although GPC have the parts I need, I have found them utterly unhelpfull and obstructive regarding payment and shipping. Almost as if they did not want to sell nearly 400 quids worth of stuff.
I am after new wheel arches, sill covers and grille primarily, but I also need loads of other bits too.

I haven't had any probs with them before. Maybe the guy just had a bad day!

You can get the arches etc from GSF and certain other bits-(check what OEM things they have), but yeah most of it will be only Main delares or GPC. Some main dealers will do a small discount though.

No, it started with that they accepted my card from Spain, but then refused it because of security issues. GSF dont have this problem, neither do Volkbits. They also wanted me to arrange my own courier. What kind of service is that???
The thing is, I may still have to use them as they are the only ones who have thie stock I need. And it amounts to 385 pounds sterling. Surely they could be a little more helpfull. As it is, they want a bank transfer instead of my card. NOT HAPPY!!
Will not approach them again after this episode.

Never used them personally but may be worth a shot?

You need to contact your nearest one and register. I think you may need to be a trader or at least know someone in the trade who can sort you out. Found on ClubGTI forum.
