-
you should have bought a complete drivve shaft off of me :P
-
You fitted a new outer CV joint a couple of days ago and its clicking already :o
Something must be wrong...........even a cheap pattern one should last longer than a couple of days.
Thoroughly packed with grease? New circlip? Definately pushed and 'located' onto the shaft?
-
Are you sure the noise is from the o/s outer joint?.
Steve.
-
did you change the right joint??
;D
-
yeh, turned out to be the inner, just sounded like the outer. prob solved now ;)
-
how hard a job is it to do the inners? mines are bad ::)
-
Unusual for the inners to go before the outers :-\
-
If you have worn cv joints, does the steering shake slightly too?
CV joints, anyone got a price on the inners and outers, VAG ones.
cheers big ears :P
-
I have seen worn inner cv joints giving a slight wheel wobble as you accelerate.

VW are asking for ?80.62p just for the outer CV shaft.
seems like a ripp off as it doesnt include anything else
is it a ripp off? ???

The VW joint kit comes with a joint, cv boot (that lasts more than a year ::)) grease and all the clips. Not bad vfm for genuine parts.
