Just walked the MOT, first time I have had a car pass first time  :cool:

8v 98 GTI, 144K on the clock and running fantastic

even the mechanic said what good nick it was in  :grin:

that'll be the vw build quality everybody says the mk3 dosent have!

i mot'd my mk3 twice and passed both without so much as an advisory.  :cool: tis a good feeling.

suspension, bushes and brakes are all new, ABS works so it should be fine but it's the first MOT since I've had it

i was nervous about my mk3's first time last month... but it walked it without so much as an advisory and it got a compliment from the mechanic!  :grin:

I can top that

1993 Audi 2.8 V6 - 278 000 miles, no problems at MOT for 2 consecutive years - mind auto gearbox went AWOL shortly afterwards, mainly due to a crappy design fault. Germans ain't as good at design as they are at screwing things together.
