Just walked the MOT, first time I have had a car pass first time
8v 98 GTI, 144K on the clock and running fantastic
even the mechanic said what good nick it was in
-
that'll be the vw build quality everybody says the mk3 dosent have!
-
i mot'd my mk3 twice and passed both without so much as an advisory. tis a good feeling.
-
Mines up in a month, first one since i've had mine. Rather worried..
-
it will walk it mate, yours is very tidy - is there that much wrong with it ?
-
suspension, bushes and brakes are all new, ABS works so it should be fine but it's the first MOT since I've had it
-
i was nervous about my mk3's first time last month... but it walked it without so much as an advisory and it got a compliment from the mechanic!
yours will be just fine Pete

I can top that
1993 Audi 2.8 V6 - 278 000 miles, no problems at MOT for 2 consecutive years - mind auto gearbox went AWOL shortly afterwards, mainly due to a crappy design fault. Germans ain't as good at design as they are at screwing things together.
