hey ppl
pulled into works carpark this morning, turned the wheel to the right and it went really heavy (its done this before and i know its the ps belt slipping) but when i turned to the left it starting banging as tte wheel was turning. I am abit nervous about driving it now because my mates car did the same sort of thing and the drive shaft went.
Has this happened to anyone else?

If you havent had any knocking noises when turning its very unlikely to be the drive shaft!
Get a new dive belt for the power steering Vicky, it aint worth keep tightening it!

Definately going to be the PAS belt. Just to make sure it's not a fluid problem.. take the green cap off the PAS fluid reservoir and wipe the dipstick on a white bit of tissue, if it's black or dirty then get it drained and renewed! Whilst the cap is off, start the engine and turn the wheel lock to lock a few times, that will bleed it just incase there's any air in there
