Anyone know the part number for the oil temp sensor for a 1990 1.6 8v Driver?  :smiley:

thats a pressure switch.. for a pressure gauge.. not a temperature take off?

ive got a VDO sump plug with a temperature sender in the actual plug.. il get the company number i ordered mine from gloucester if you want it..

I had a look in earlier, even registered with ETKA so I could have a better look at their site but it's not very clear, well to me anyway, which one i'm after.

I've removed the sensor and found that there was no "O" ring type behind it too.

On the back it states

0.15 - 0.45
0**919081C -  OB

etka is a bit of a pain to use, if you don't know what you are looking for. That should be the same as the ones used across the board on all golf engines, have another browse through it, and see if you can find a part number for a sensor that has a .15-.45 bar rating.  :cool: they should cross over.

dont you need a twinpole sender for fitting VDOs alex? and then a T piece or a sump temp sender.. due to resistance levels and shtoof.. and, well, what the senders are made for full stop?  :undecided:

Got the part from the local GSF dealers in Liverpool, £2.93!!  :cool:

Having a go at fitting it in tomorrow and see what happens, fingers crossed.
