Title: N reg vr6 wont idle ?? any ideas or what to look at ?

as title really . been fine since i got it then the other day i went to it and started it and it wont idle . just dies ??

you can keep it running by putting your foot on the accelarater but as soon as you remove it it dies ??

any ideas what it could be ??

has to be the idle control valve. as to where its fitted on a vr6 i dont know but if you can locate and remove it trying cleaning it with carb cleaner. this worked on my old golf :)

Follow a hose from the airbox/induction kit back to a cylider shape device which will have a plug in one end and go into the inlet manifold. Pop it out and leave it soaking in petrol overnight or use carb cleaner in it
