Hey people,
I was just topping liquids this evening and noticed that this short pipe (shown in the picture) was disconnected at one end.
You can see that at one end of the pipe it's connected to the engine with a clip, then it curves round towards the drivers side and attaches where the arrow point is (I re-attached it).
So, what is it, and does it matter that it was disconnected ?
(I'm not sure how long it's been disconnected)

its an oil breather pipe, and yes , it should be connected.

So that's why it looks like some oil has been splashed around where the pipe was disconnected?
