Title: Import Ed 30 UK Docs - Help
Post by: waddler on 26 October 2007, 13:54
Just went to check my new Ed 30 Imported from Germany.  Car looks spot on.  Only one nagging doubt is over the Handbook and Service History Manual.  The car is genuine EU car UK spec but the Service book is in German with dealer stamp etc.  That's fine by me but I obviously want UK docs.  The salesmen told me that he will fax off a copy of the PDI along with the reg doc and VW will send out the the UK versions by post.

Seems genuine to me but though i'd check experience on the site.

Standard issue with an import. Write to VW UK  - and they should send you a UK manual/docs but of course the vehicle sticker will have been stamped into the German service book. Shows it's an import

That's OK I have no intention of passing this off as a UK sourced car even though it's identicle spec.

Just want to have all the right paperwork and service history when I come to sell in a few years.
