dose a g60 gearbox have the same ratios as a 8v gti as i am looking for a new box for my 8v due to the syncro on second being dodgy

is the g60 box not a cable change box, whereas the 8v is a rod change box

so therefore you'd need a g60 pedal box and gearlinkage setup to run it

whilst we are on the subject, can you use a late 8v gearbox on the g60 engine or does it 8 need to be the cable change one?

i know of people putting 16v boxes on big bhp G60 blocks so i assume it must fit

late 8v "o2o" box will go onto a g60 engine, use a 8v fly wheel and clutch plate to match the input shaft and a 16v pressure plate. G60 box is a cable shift "o2a", completely different.
