i got my mk2 1990 last month after writin off my leon cupra and am just wonderin what wheels are the most common width and diameter to use as i fancy some keskin after i've had the rust spot's sorted and a new tailgate fitted.
Insurance payouts are a wonderful thing

The world is your oyster!
Do a search, either on here or google.
-
I got 15x7s
Just dont put 17's on. Big huuge wheels/small car is not a good look, unless you want to look like one of those 17 yr old corsa drivers....
-
heeeey nothing wrong with 17's...
although they do look pants and i want to change them but i cant afford to! get some 17'' bbs..might cost more than a small country, but look oh so insanely good!
-
17'' look and drive pants!
go with max 15's for a daily, or 16's with a slight stretch and make them wide!!!
(I'm running 15*7 ATS cups, but they be for sale shortly cos I fancy a change!)
-
I quite fancy some keskin kt5 brocklight but was unsure to get the staggered fitment with 9x16 on the rear and 7x16 on the fronts the just drop it on coilovers. I need to get the rust sorted first cos it's gone around the filler cap a the tailgate is like swiss cheese, but what can you expect for 500
-
Similarly, i'd like to know the width and offset that would achieve this look:

 ain't that the truth! that and the sh!tty excuse Sheffield council call road surfaces. I saw better cart tracks on my hols in Tunisia.
stick to 15's with 195.50.15 tyres or you'll lose all your teeth and cause spinal injuries.
-
love the way people take the piss out of 17's and then put stretched tyres on some 15 9's at the back and 8's at the front, thats gonna handle like sh!t as well!
If anyones not noticed golfs are front wheel drive
-
i actually said 7x16 on the front but cheers for the reply
-
it was an example
-
i wasn't been sarcastic
seriously then what are we thinkin 7x15 or 7x16.
my leon was on 18's but the golf wouldn't look right on 17 or 18 in my opinion also what drop coukld i get with 7 inch wide 16's
-

-
man im crap at reading this internet chat
7x15 are ideal! if you want the extra width use a widetrack setup!
-
why oh why does everyone ahve no trouble with their 15s wearing 195.50.15 yet i have a massive chaff on mine.. my beam must be wrong in some way.. its only been dropped 40.. not 400mm for christ sake!!
-
Ha ha.
My 16v is wearing 8.5x15 RS's with 195/45's on the front and 9x15 RS's with more 195/45's on the rear!!
F**k the handling, I drive like Miss Daisy!
