Title: Boot carpet

What is the deal with the MK2 boot lining.  I have carpet across the boot floor but a kind of moulded foam sheet over the wheel arches.  Looking around it seems that some models have carpet over the arches, was this an option or were these fitted at a later date?  Cheers Jez

mine has the boot carpet, but has the foam covering the suspension turrets etc

there is some carpet that goes over the wheel arches on ebay. i thought they only came std on the 16v's

I have metal wheel arches etc, the only carpet i have is on the floor, over te spare tyre and stuff!! I dont even have the plastic cover over the lip, where the striker is, you know? Nor did i have a light in my boot!?
