Someone broke into house just before 03.45 took a few things including the key to our Red 5 door GTI - ba*****s!!!
police were told by neighbour as he saw them driving it off our drive! it has been seen but not stopped as blocked by another car as they came up to it. they have got the driver of this car so hopefully they can get the thumb screws onto him!
it was heading out of lancashire towards yorkshire, around the skipton area, so if anyone sees anything can they let me know.
Reg No: PN56 UDO - has 18" Monza's.
even worse thing is it had our 6 month olds pram in the back so she's not even got any wheels now!
apparently its a group from Bradford, who have been in the blackburn area before taking performance cars.
am just sickened at the minute that people have been in the house and that they got the GTI!!!
one possible saving grace is that it had hardly any fuel in it so they may just dump it and it can be recovered - but then again!!!!

Very very unlucky to hear.....such a shame to see what some cu*ts can do!
-
Really really sorry to hear of it mate... I always leave my car with low fuel - 0 to 10 miles - when parking it for a while although I also have a garage. I hope the police accidently make extremely violent contact between their fists/a very hard metallic object and his face several times when he is in custody...
-
sorry to hear it mate!! theiving little pikey scum bags!!!!!

Thanks for comments... all echoing our thoughts!
Just waiting for update from police and hopefully the scumbag they caught has been pressured into talking!
-
my mate had his 05 plate leon cupra r stolen from him on thursday night and he lives near bradford and that was last spotted heading over yeadon/ilkley area. looks to me like there is a gang stealing cars and keeping them over that area  fookers.
-
Thats really a downer.... I would go crazy if my car was stolen...
-
sorry to hear that - even worse that they broke into your house , hope they catch the scum!
-
just got back from police station as they have recovered some of the items take from the house, they had swapped them into another car which the police managed to stop, after it had blocked them getting to our GTI.
playing ping-pong with car, house and company insurance companies as they got away with house and company car keys also - dont know why they didn't take a 54 plate honda accord tourer with £120k on it!!
police say very unlikely that we'll see it again - apparently this gang are know for doing this, did two others last night in same way. they then re-plate and forge papaers and sell them on via autotrader - if you see a 56 plate 5 door red GTI with 9200 miles advertised then let me know - it has 18" Monza's, winter pack, cruise, 6CD and sunroof. oh and an i-candy pram in the boot!!!
-
mate - very sorry to hear about this - hope they do catch the cnuts and attach large amounts of electricity to their goolies... pikey w@nkers

Or they could send them to a Middle Eastern country like Egypt or Iraq where they would only be too happy to interrogate them using more 'enthusiastic' techniques that British Police cannot employ due to legal constraints... Well... one can wish... :lipsrsealed:
-
It really makes my blood boil
I hope you get your car back intact.
-
Think there was a thread on this a while back too.... I sleep with my keys now!! And keep the car locked in the garage out of sight!
As I had a similar experience with my brothers BMW 325ci a couple of years back. At the time we were told it was a group of pro's from over in Manchester and Stockport coming over and getting cars to order. Cant believe its still going on and they havent found a way of stopping this type of event!! Oh but its ok because they give us speeding tickets... but never seem to catch the real criminals
-
I hope that they get the bar stewards!!! I hate the gits..........
P.s. Nice picture Hurdy
-
Man another stolen car thread damm me.
Its f**king sick what people can do and how easy they seem to get away with it.
I hope justice is served and they are locked up.
-
any news. seems to have gone quiet.

Hi & sorry for lack of update - currently out of country.
theres no update on the car and police have said again that theres unlikely to be!
the bas***d that they caught in the car that blocked the police getting to our car has been to court and put on remand for burglary and police are now trying to get him convicted for stealing the car and ringing them.
we have got some of the items that they stole from the house, but still no wheels for the little one!!!
we have been looking on autotrader and other similar sites for the car but nothing showing, also on ebay for pram etc. but again nothing,
will post an update as soon as anything else known - thanks to all for messages!!
-
hi chris. gutted to hear about your car and the thought of those scummers being in your house.sickening to think that you have to hide it away in your garage every night like i do,such a hassle swapping cars o
ver am & pm. amazed im still doing it.look on the bright side, knowing you you will have gap insurance and will probably end up with a ed 30.surprised they didn't take the honda.NOT.

My neighbours have just had a X5 and a TT stolen by theives using a cane to access house keys left in the hallway, (then used these to open the house and take the car keys) you know it goes on, keep the keys hidden, you have been warned.
-
whilst i agree, i am glad that our keys were downstairs (out of view) as otherwise the chance is that the bas****s would have come upstairs where we and our 6 month old daughter were - at the end of the day they came for the car and were going to get the car.
police have told us that they usually carry some kind of weapon and whilst i loved the GTI i can very easily get another - i cant do the same for my family.

Its sad that someone cant even leave their new gti with a full tank. Hate my car being on low fuel as you get more from the top half of the tank, luckily mines a W reg Gti so not majorly appealing to these scumbags but to know ive got a new gti outside my gaf and i cant even fill it would make me sick

Well we got the offer from the insurance company today and we were suprised! £19,400, after a bit of negotiation!
saying we paid £21,600 14 months ago, we dont think this is too bad.
oh well, off to search for the next car now - will just be a run about (for the time being!!)
-
Not bad. Pity you didn't have GAP insurance though.

Yeh but he only lost out on 2k in 14 months - not bad considerin what you would have paid for GAP - not bad at all
