Title: Mk3 GTI Speaker Wiring

Just removed the stock speaker in my front right door (hasn't worked) and there's no wire going to to the speaker! Took the rubber seal off the door to look at the wires and everything appears to be there, can anyone tell me what colour wires should be going to the front right door speaker (Mk3 96 GTI)??  Had a fiddle up inside the door, but can't feel any...want to establish whether they are somewhere in the door or completely non existent!

Any ideas appreciated...tried to access that vw wiring PDF but asked for login details?

here's an idea for you

look at the door speaker on the other side and see what colour the wires are.. :wink:

i cant remember, think they are blue but they have a plactic connector on the end.

Check to see of the dash speakers are stock ones, as maybe a previous person removed it by accident ? ? ?

Yes the dash tweeter works ok, so I'll have a look in there. Is it easy to remove the grill?

Will check the other door speaker too! thanks.

grills come off easy, use a small flat blade screwdriver and prize them off...takes two mins...my cat could do it :laugh:
