MY radio suddenly died  I think it is one of the CDs misalligned inside. Will have the radio replaced. Bar-stewards at one VW dealership said that if I put a CD_RW inside, which is thicker, than warranty is void and I have to pay! I looked thru manual and it says that mp3 player can play CD-RWs. So I don't know what he was trying to pull, that steward of a dealer. I am going to the guys I bought the car from, my acquaintances, they replace stuff without questions.

1. My electric mirrors sometimes dont fold out so i've got to try a few times before they do.
2. all the god damn rattles.
3. sometimes the driver side window has a mind of his own particularly within the 1st 30min of starting it on a morning.
4. The passenger side seat refuses to move forward properly when letting someone in the back. This is getting sorted next week.
5. Engine sounds like a diesel.
6. The ipod link is crap. Takes awhile to skip tracks and is not instant.

Just the rattles from the centre console vent and driver door.
How easy is this to cure? It drives me frikkin mad when I think I paid £25K+ for my car...

I've seen a lot of people are experiencing rattles with their car.
I've had the interior panels off my car to fit various bits and it is still as quiet as a mouse. apart from the induction noise and the exhaust buts thats only when I give it some beans
Am I one of the lucky ones?

No real problems with mine build quality wise, no rattles, nothing.
Only things I supposes that I am unhappy about are regarding the design/quality :
- The 18'' monzas are a mission to keep from scratching/marking. I have to wash them with great car. Lots of soapy water and a lambswool mitt. Even then after 7 months of ownership there are a few scratches in them.
- The foot pedals have scatched quite badly and have gone shiny in places where my foot is on them. Not impressed by that at all - any one else find this?
- The brakes. They are very "grabby" - came from BMW 1 Series before GTI and the brakes (as with most BMW's) were excellent. I find there is half an inch of travel in the brake pedal where it does nothing and then all of a sudden they start grabbing, which can make it quite jerkie breaking.

slight rattles now and then, the thing i dont like is the starter motor its very loud and tractor like, blue reflection from speedo/rev counter very annoying on a sunny day.

Got the dealer to get rid of the centre vent rattle or there is a fix for it on VW Vortex

levered mine out (very carefully!) and put velcro in and re-seated it. Hey voila! no rattle
Shouldn't have been there in the first place though
