in my 94 mk3 the heater control lights have never worked does anyone know how to fix this?
-
If its the ones around the heater switch id suggest removing that part from the dash and changing the little bulbs maybe?
-
Your bulb will have either blown or come loose (there is only one bulb) if you use a small screwdriver to pop off the cover around the dials there are four phillipsscrews, remove them and then slide out the ash tray and remove the 2 screw there and the heater control unit will slide down, on the back there is a white piece of plastic in like a half circle, unclip theis and replace bulb. Really easy

thanks richie i got the bulb out and its blown.so should be an easy fix.does anyone know if the bulb is the same size as the ones in the dash clocks or could i replace it with a blue led?
-
I replaced mine with a blue LED from ultraleds.co.uk
Although after a couple of hours work iv added an extra 3 wiring looms so i have 4 Blue leds in drilled holes behind my light up display.. Worth every minute.. Just need a steady hand, Patience and a mate help you with the in car soldering haha

did you add more because it wasnt bright enough?or some other reason?

if you take the clocks out there is bulb holes at the top simple fix.to get them out pop off all the blanking plates and take the screws out

Yeah i did it becuse there so incredibly dim.. Even with a superbright wide angle Blue LED. It works/looks amazing now, was worth the extra effort!
Iv got the bulbs for the dash/speedo now just unsure how you get the dials out.. any ideas or anyone know of a "how-too" thread on here?
