Hi All,
I have had my Mk4 for some time now and i think its time to add a changer.
i have read through hundreds of topics and not found a definitive answer for what i need or what I already have.
i have a Golf Mk4 GT TDI 2001 with a gamma stereo and cassette player. on my HU i have LED's for Radio, CD, CD Changer. when I select CD Changer the display reads 'NO CD' (I'm sure that i don't have a CD Changer, i have looked in the boot, under the seats and the glove box)
could this mean that the CD Changer has gone missing?
i would like to instal a changer of some sort, I just don't know what will work. Is there a wire in the boot for me to connect a changer upto? (I haven't found one)
can I install a dash mounted one? I also have a Pioneer DEH-P9400MP that i would like to include but what will i need?
Thanks,
Jay

I don't know about all models, but in my old mk4 there are two din slots in the dash, one houses the hu w/cass and above that there is a din slot into which a 5 disc blaupunkt changer slides...
If you have a little cubby hole there then it wasn't specified as an optional extra I'd say
