Dear all,
New to this forum but have seen a couple of threads for this problem. I have a Mk4 PD150 golf with the most annoying creaking coming from the rear right of the car, Also a "clonk" from just behind the drivers seat. The car has been to the dealer 7 times now to have this fixed but to no joy. I am going to book the car in for a service very shortly and wondered if any of you wise ladies and gentlemen could give me any clues and/or fixes I could pass to the garage?.
Other than that it is the best car I have ever owned and it being a company one cheap as well!
Love it!!!!!
Thanks in advance.

I had a "Clunk" under my drivers seat. It's a common problem on the MK4. Take it to the dealer and ask them to replace your seat base under warranty. The other clunk, Dunno. Could be a faulty shok????

The rear seat latches are prone to being faulty (some dodgy plastic material rather than metal). Fold back seats down and see if noise goes away. If so you can be sure its a faulty latch.
