I want to repair my door cards. Basically the bottoms of the front door cards are flimsy and they pop out of place, I want too fix them how can I do this?
-
couls u fiberglass the back of them??
-
that could work. was thinking about paper mache haha what i noob i am
-
haha. i thought abt fibre glass before but changed to leather in mine
-
thanks mate ill give it ago.
-
My idea was to use watered down PVA wood glue, so that it soaks into the fibre of the door card, then hardens in shape? Don't know if it will work, but thats my plan anyway!
-
mine do it all the time, im going to fibreglass the back as soon as i get them retrimmed.
-
i fibreglassed the back today and it still flimsy. might look at it again 2moz. but i was think of just taking the cloth off and putting it on my old door card that are fibreglass or some thing harder then cardboard.

You mean it keeps popping out the clips in the bottom?
I just pulled the clips out of shape and bent them back good and tight with a pair of pliers on mine and it's been no problem
