Title: Rear Seat Stitching
Post by: Smythe1981 on 07 October 2007, 17:16
I've recently noticed that the stitching on the centre of the back seats has come away.

it appears to have been caught by someone sitting on it, when getting in / out of the car, not a major problem but will gradually get worse, i've had the car nearly a year and have only had 3 in the back on a handful of occasions.

Anyway, after waiting 3 weeks for a part to arrive at my local dealers (i can only assume the part is a needle!!) they are going to fix the problem, but will take the best part of a full day to fix.

has anybody else had this problem and does it mean that i am now unable to ever have 3 people in the back of my car? rendering it useless as a 5 people car!

Um. VW wont need a needle. They just replace the whole thing.... No. Seriously...

I dont see why not? Its a seat. its meant for sitting on. Was just one bad stitch. you hope.
