Since I cant afford to cash in on an alarm system for my mk3 I opted for a stoplock steering wheel lock (yeah i know, old skool!). I fitted it on and it does....seemingly nothing. Is it just a visual deterrent for thieving bastards or is it actually supposed to lock something?! Cos I tried it out and I can still easily drive my vehicle, but the lock just hits my interior on the way around but if I was stealing a car Im sure I wouldnt care about that. If so, I think I've just wasted £35?
Thanks

waste of time them, all you need is a junior hacksaw and a bingo its off, theirs other ways using a screwdriver also which takes only a few seconds
you need a Disclock, they are thatcham approved and better than any alarm or imobiliser, cost around £70 these days...

Or, if your thinking of buying a momo steering wheel anyway, you could get the snap-off wheel boss?
