Title: New Shoes
Post by: clum1 on 06 October 2007, 15:44
OK, it's time to get new tyres for the front of my 56 plate 3 door manual; they've lasted 11k and seem to be going on the edges - too much cornering!?!  What's the consensus? I've taken a look around here and the Dunlops it came with get a drubbing; certainly, I've had the traction control come on just about every time I've floored it from low speed, but I just figured that was normal...

From what I've seen here, Continentals are the way to go; any takers on Falkens? Cash is tight at the mo (New York on holiday next week so I can't complain) so I want to get the right choice first time.  Also, can anyone recommend a decent fitter in the Coatbridge / Glasgow area if I go with BlackCircles.  Or is there a better supplier?

Did I ask too much!?  :nerd:

cheers

Calum

Read this months EVO magazine, tyre test was very extensive and carried out in Edition 30 GTI's.

It will answer your question.
