sorry being a retard i guess but i cant seem to figer out how the clutch cable fits in the pedal? when i put it in it just pulls out when i push the pedal!
-
sorry think i have sorted it! but there is no pedal feel at all, it just goes to the floor!!

Make sure the arm on the gearbox is moving when you work the clutch, if it is a 1600/1800 enging, the clutch pushrod may have punched thru the release bearing or the plate on the clutch cover. Release bearing is easy to change, take the housing off the end of the gearbox and fit another one, but this type of problem normaly means the clutch is heavy and needs changing.

isn't that always the case... do you keep breaking things or are there problems you come across...?
-
i come across them.... so to speak!

theres a bush on the pedal, i think the mk1 items are crappy foam! The MK2s have a rubber bush so if you have a scrappy near you rob one. failing that VW will do you one i think!
