Title: Engine bay question

The strange green ball-like object at the top left side of the engine bay, near the carb on a 1.6 8v.
What is it, an expansion tank of some sort?

Looks like something you find in the workings of a toilet  :grin:

vacuum resevoir for the carb  :smiley:
