Hi i woz wondering if anyone can help me with this i have just brought a vw golf 16v 1.8t mk2 about 3 weeks ago my alarm and central locking woz working fine until my mate took the connections off the battery and now the clifford eagle 2 light stays on and my remote for the alarm dont arm or dis-arm it ive tried the switch near the steering wheel dont do jack any advice?

Depends not only how the Clifford alarm is wired in but also if the 1.8T factory immobiliser is still in place, is part of ecu. Probably best to try and speak to who put the engine in and the wiring, if you can't get any details get a auto electrition to have a look might cost £100 but could save a fortune in own time trying to sort.

try disconnecting the car battery for a few hrs.?(just the earth) your alarm might just be spiked.????????????????????/
