there is no bleed thing as its self bleeding and air normaly travels to the expantion tank!
have you check the wire on the temp sender or the temp sender itsself.... i'd dowt air would cause the sender to not read..... if the water hoses are red hot and the guage is reading cold then its either the sender wire / connection or the sender itself!
the only time air causes upset in the system if it gets traped in the heater matrics if this happens then you get cold / warm air though the fan heater not hot....

hi thx,
the air coming in form the fan is only warm when on full heat. It definitely used to be hotter. Also the temp guage works but stays in the white bit even after an hour of running

must be the thermo then. did you change the thermo with the thermo housing?
-
no, never changed the thermo with the thermo housing. Is it possible that he never bothered to put the thermostat back in?
thx man

check the bottom hose this should stay cool until the thermo opens if you havent got a thermo then this hose will get hot pretty quick......
i think you have a faulty sender....

hi i got in touch with the mechanic who fitted the pump and housing and it turns out that he never bothered putting a thermostat in because he reckoned that it was the wrong thermostat in there because he was having trouble sealing the two together or something. So I told him to get a new thermostat ordered coz i damn well want one in there lol. Thx for your help guys, just another quick question... will it harm my car if i drive it without a thermostat? Thx
