Title: Upgrading speakers?

Is it correct that the speakers are 6.5/17cm 3 in the front & rear of a MK4.
After that i'm not sure where to start, i'm not after any subs in the boot, just
an improved bass & less distortion at higher volume. Will it be 4x speakers & 2x tweeters
i'll be wanting?
If so, can someone link me to a page as it's confusing with the amount of different wattage etc.
