Title: central locking broke mk3

hi all, well the drivers side lock broke today, seems like i snapped something, i must have been heavy handed with the key unfortunitely so now im using the passenger side to get in and out of my car,  any ideas to how much this will cost to fix? thanks.

Remove the drivers door card and check the locking mech.As is plastic it is'nt un common for them to snap. Try your local scrap yard - but you may find that a lot of the drivers side door handles and locks are gone due to your problem!
I f the car still un locks via the passenger door then it wont be the central locking system which is powered by a small 'black box' in your boot.
