hello matey - don't know if you've thoguht about it but try looking to rent a garage or lock-up ...
Not as expensive as you think and plenty of plus sides!
-
We could do with a big industrial unit where we could all house and work on our projects.
I've got to clear the drive soon so it can be resurfaced, but that's just a matter of tax.

Hey that's what I need to do ::)
How much are you looking at to rent a lock up or garage? Where do you look to find them advertised? Local paper?
-
I ended up befriending a local farmer, initialy I offered money to rent some space, but now we have an 'agreement' that I give him technical support for his PCs - in return I get a wonderful insulated barn with light and power. My GTi and Beetle live there when not at home. If you live in a rural area, it is certainly worth asking about.
Good luck - no man can have too many VeeDubs!

?9 a week, nearly ?500 a year for a garage
-
Gaz,u cant give up that easily! ;D U have got loads of ideas-dont waste em! ;D

i thought my council garage was expensive at ?5.95 pw, I guess I should feel Ive got it cheap. ;)
I also use another garage up the road owned by an old lady. I can use the garage in exchange for odd jobs and so far raking some leaves and painting a door hasn't exactly been back breaking. :P
dont give up yet k, act like a typical son in law and stand your ground ;D
