Title: windscreen washer problem

please can some one help??
1991 golf cab only prob is cant get windscreen washer to pump water to screen ,the power is at the motor but it not working have tried a new one,same prob,if i but motor across 12v it works fine,whats going on!!!!

Have you checked the amount of voltage you are getting at the wires, possibly not enough to turn the motor?  Have you tried to run it without the pipes attached in case there is a blockage somewhere?

Mine's just stopped working. I think mine is the stem on the steering column, as it doesn't set the wipers working three times when I try and wash the window.

i've seen a few cars with the same problem what usually happens is where the bonnet hinges are the pipe gets kinked over the years and collapses when closing the bonnet,try working the washers with the bonnet open if they work thats the problem but best to check the pipe in that area anyway

Try cleaning up the connections on the washer motor! Mine didn't work when i got the car so changed the motor and it still didnt work. So cleaned up the connections and the old motor worked fine!
