Title: My new 1.6 8v mk 2
Post by: Grazer on 26 September 2007, 16:28
I took charge of this yesterday afternoon is a sorry state, but after a few hours of cleaning this afternoon it came up a treat.
Needs a few things sorting, bit of rust on the leading edge of the bonnet, faulty hazard switch and the roof lining but other than that, it's fine.

Plans are to keep it fairly standard as it will be used a daily runner, for now anyway.

It's a Driver. I have plans for a GTI interior but that will have to wait for a while.

Fitted my new mirrors and grille today.
Happy with the results but still not sure about leaving the badge silver.
Grille spoiler to follow shortly too.

I would go for the de-badged grill mate and keep the 2 Golf lights. I liked the original pics when you first got her of the front.

Why get rid of a perfectly gorgeous 4-Lamp grill in favor of a silly 2 lamp one then even worse, the fugly Jetta one!!

What is it with you people!

Nice looking Golf with a butt ugly front!

(begin my execution...)

I still have all the previous options available.
If for some reason I change my mind, I simply chance it round again.
