Post by: grantw on 26 September 2007, 13:00
Hi all,

looking to upgrde the speakers in my new golf GTI, but finding it hard to find info on the speakers that are currently in the car. I dont have the ugraded sound system so I think I will only have 8 speakers, what are the specs of the speakers be, as I want to replace them with decent componet speakers.

regards.

I had mine upgraded by these chappies

http://www.sourcecars.com/

I had my spaekers replaced with Hertz "Hi energy" speakers. They fit into the existing bays and the sound quality is excellent. Component speakers in the front and Coax speakers in the rear. I also had a 10" sub in the boot and a 4 way audiobahn amp powering the fronts and the sub.

Try here for their website.

hi

I had these fitted into my MK3 and they are the best car speakers I had had the pleasure to use...
